![]() ![]() OK, it’s a bit dramatic, but with the typewriter and graphical issues, along with unresponsive controls (which I attribute mostly to the heavily designed Joy-Con controllers), it just wasn’t a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the whole Switch experience gave me a sour taste in my mouth and prepared me to throw the device in my hand out of my second story window and down the street, where perhaps a skateboarder would ollie directly on the device, slamming it into ten. I initially began my review by playing the game on the Nintendo Switch, as it seemed to be the platform of choice that was featured during various gaming showcases in the build-up to its release. With that said, I need to disclose that I’m approaching this review a little differently than other reviews, as I originally reviewed Skatebird on two different platforms at the same time. While playing, I couldn’t help but be reminded of a really well done remaster of 1998’s Rugrats: Discover the Raptor levels mixed in with a 2000 grind session (I promise it’s a compliment) ).
